Countdown 01:25
Countdown until our count’s increased beyond what it can take Scale tips we start to fall into the dark abyss Would it really be so bad? The world could finally find some peace Sleep well. It’s your last dream. None awake, no more pain, no eyes to interpret the scene Speed it up, we’ve had enough As long as shes still bat their eyes this train’s not slowing down. The track’s been built a million times, but were finally out of coal Just black skies, free real estate, for no one to claim till they find our remains someday
2.
High Horse 02:01
No questions asked, but answers abound The more you speak down to those around The more it becomes clearer day by day Your mouth and asshole are one and the same Don’t remember Don’t forget Don’t remember what I said The mirrors in your house reflect the shame The look on your face is the same Didn’t ask for your help, but it came anyway Always unwanted, always enraging Release your self-esteem the pressure is high Higher than your horse, fed poison oats and died
3.
A last embrace, let’s try to chase the setting sun To eviscerate and incinerate us back to dust The clowns are laughing, we’ve lost the plot It’s getting late for a twist of fate to come along Everything you’ve ever wanted And once thought possible It slowly slip away For now you’re grasping straws Wholesale catastrophes, riptides in boiling seas The only limit is your dreams Fear is the killer, don’t let it in Maybe a turning of the tide is up ahead The current overwhelms you And you’re washed out to with the tide It surely can’t get darker all the time It’s gonna turn around It has to turn around
4.
Wasted Life 02:43
Try to find any reason just to try Another day, another chance to find out why To get it right All those times I didn’t try All those dreams that dried and died All those happy sad time Wasted life Stay inside, where its dry, and just say we tried While tides are rising Holding on to branches that are broke Wait to fall into anything but hope All alone You had your chance, now and then But “thens” are gone, and “nows” are fleeting There’s no light at the end Of the tunnel when Your inside and it’s Closed and crumbling

What might have mattered once will never matter again I lost my place in line, I don’t know where to begin Can’t tell if I’m in the groove or if I’m stuck in a rut Waited too long the door slammed shut Stuck in a box, without a key, with nothing bright in front of me The light bulb shattered long ago Snuffed out thoughts you’ll never know Now and then it flickers on Reminds me of when things went so wrong Like pouring cement upon a garbage truck Make sure the dirty wheels stay stuck When there’s nowhere left to go but down I’ll just remain here standing till my time runs out Can’t fall asleep. Can’t wake up.

92 years seemed to fly by Or is it 93? Celebrate with lots of whiskey And old thoughts of his friend Pete Never took care of himself and Never had nobody else Left him with nothing but years just to ponder, drink, and smoke Draw the shades, won’t let light in All of his friends long ago died All with families left behind The last man standing would rather sit now Just waiting for his time A smile, then a shatter He won it alone

Remains 01:51
One shitty night I should have known to set it down but whiskey talks and I listen well I got too drunk and dug a hole hazy morning a muddy spade all money gone and buried deep a life savings 10 acres lost to keep from her what I had earned I should have known went to bed with all my problems solved awake, to find another problem now I can’t escape I lie awake Where’d it all go?

We never thought to ask Our versions from the past Would we like what we see Or cringe at the glance? On the edge of something grand Or falling back on old habits again? I think I see a trend Like a ship without a sail As we fumble and flail True believers, self-deceivers Disappear into the ether Flash in the pan A shaky hand Navigating foreign lands The quest for something real Is just another imagined idea I think our fates are sealed Cutting through life with the dullest knife Past our prime, yet to expire We detest this pissing contest An indictment of the unenlightened
10.
Too Late 02:41
Sinking through the depths of time Floating at the top what’s left behind Was never mine Don’t look down and don’t look back Faded disappointments all that’s left It won’t come back And I know that this life is nothing But I hope that it was worth something You’ll find out after waiting for so long There’s nothing there and never was It’s too late to turn back Mistakes made and repeated Memories fade duller ones take their place Shades of gray Drive all night but can’t escape The darker that it gets the less I see It catches me

Skylines 02:05
squinting hard just to see now bloodshot eyes in the sky throttles back in his seat while distant ground rushes by steering wildly, white-nosed leaving nothing behind except some yachts and a mansion but now he’s flying high bought and believed in things bandaids for misplaced dreams rotting below now he screams smelling his savior speed red eyes see white-capped cliffs coming to save him from gaping wounds dollars couldn’t sew what you’ll never know blow on mirror, leaned in, scared of reflection Baby I’d write you but I’m gone bloody fire on white caps burning what's left alive snow fall to a demise could buy all things but time left a message in white puffs for those gazing below his final message read “goodbye" and then drifted to snow final descension a haze of speed and sound and screams stopped by the blow stopped by the blow with rats under your pillows how could your dreams be sweet indeed be sweet indeed

Brawling through the headlights in the pouring rain Not a mouth unbled, not a body slain Stilettos drawn, call out his name, swinging bottles and brass knuckles but today it ain’t the same Sophistry takes its pound of flesh We once lived simpler lives, we once used knives Now we’re just a shell under a second spell Sane times have gone by the wayside but I’ll try To live right till I die Don’t take any stock in what they see or read Barreling blindly through history Gotta get a grip on reality There’s a trigger warning on everyone you see How much tragedy will it take to pry Away arcane ideas from old dumb minds? We’ll know when, our sights are turned to them
